It may be recalled that Pakistani spinner Nauman Ali also registered his name in the record books on the third day of the Test match yesterday. He broke the 37-year-old Test record of former Pakistani spinner Iqbal Qasim against South Africa. 39-year-old Noman Ali took 6 wickets in South Africa’s first innings, taking 5 or more wickets in an innings for the 9th time in his Test career, becoming the Pakistani left-arm spinner to take the most 5 wickets in a Test cricket innings.
Pakistan defeated South Africa by 93 runs in the first match of the 2-Test series to take a 0-1 lead in the series. In the first Test match played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan had given South Africa a target of 272 runs to win, in response to which the South African team was bowled out for 183 runs.
In pursuit of the target, Dewald Brews was the top scorer for the visiting team South Africa by scoring 54 runs, while Nauman Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi took 4 wickets each and Sajid Khan took 2 wickets for the Pakistani team. Pakistani spinner Nauman Ali took 10 wickets in the match, Sajid Khan took 5 wickets, Shaheen Shah Afridi took 4 wickets, and Salman Ali Agha took one wicket.
In the first innings, Pakistan scored 378 runs, in response to which South Africa scored 269 runs and the host team took a lead of 109 runs. In the second innings, the national team was bowled out for 167 runs and the visiting team was given a target of 277 runs to win.

Tony de Zorzi fell victim to Shaheen Shah Afridi on the third ball of the fourth day without adding any runs, while Ryan Rickelton was dismissed by Nauman Ali after scoring 45 runs and Tristan Stubbs was dismissed for just 2 runs.
Dewald Brewes troubled the Pakistani bowlers, but Nauman Ali once again used his experience to bowl him out, scoring 54 runs off 54 balls, which included 2 sixes and 6 fours.
Remember that Pakistan had won the toss and decided to bat in the match and scored 378 runs in the first innings thanks to half-centuries by Imam-ul-Haq, Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha, while Senoran Muthuswamy had dismissed 6 players for South Africa. In response, the entire South African team was bowled out for 269 runs. یاد رکھیں کہ پاکستان نے میچ میں ٹاس جیت کر بیٹنگ کا فیصلہ کیا تھا اور پہلی اننگز میں امام الحق، شان مسعود، محمد رضوان اور سلمان علی آغا کی نصف سنچریز کی بدولت 378 رنز بنائے تھے جب کہ جنوبی افریقہ کی جانب سے سینوران متھوسوامی نے 6 کھلاڑیوں کو آؤٹ کیا تھا۔ جس کے جواب میں جنوبی افریقہ کی پوری ٹیم 269 رنز پر پویلین لوٹ گئی، پروٹیز کی جانب سے ٹونی ڈی زورزی نے 10 چوکوں اور 2 چھکوں کی مدد سے 104 رنز کی اننگز کھیلی جب کہ ریان ریکلٹن نے 71 رنز بنائے، قومی ٹیم کی جانب سے نعمان علی نے 6 اور ساجد خان نے 3 وکٹیں حاصل کیں۔ جنوبی افریقہ پر 109 رنز کی برتری حاصل کرنے کے باوجود قومی ٹیم دوسری اننگز میں اچھی کارکردگی نہ دکھاسکی اور پوری ٹیم 167 رنز پر ڈھیر ہوگئی، بابراعظم 42، عبداللہ شفیق 41 رنز بناکر نمایاں رہے۔
