پاکستان ایتھلیٹکس ٹیم بھارت میں شروع ہونے والی ایشیائی اتھلیٹکس چیمپئن شپ میں حصہ لینے کے لئے آج 3 جولائی 2017 کو واہگہ بارڈر سے امرتسر روانہ ہوگئی

اسلام آباد – پاکستان ایتھلیٹکس ٹیم 6 جولائی سے بھارتی شهر بھونیشنورمیں شروع ہونے والی ایشیائی اتھلیٹکس چیمپئن شپ میں حصہ لینے کے لئے ٹیم آج 3 جولائی 2017 کو واہگہ بارڈر سے امرتسر کے لئے روانہ ہوگی جہاں سے پاکستان کی ٹیم بذریعہ ہوائی جہاز بھونیشنور جا ے گی.
پاکستانی ٹیم کے جن اتھلیٹ کو ویزا دیا گیا ہے. ان میں ارشد ندیم ، محبوب علی، نوکر حسین، اسد اقبال مظہر، وقار یونس کوچ سید فیاض حسین اور محمد بلال شامل ھیں پاکستان اتھلیٹکس فیڈریشن کے سیکرٹری جنرل ،محمّد ظفر کو بھارتی ویزا دینے سے انکار کر دیا گیا ھے جنوں نے اایشیائی اتھلیٹکس کونسل میٹنگ میں شرکت کرنا تھی انکے بجاے صدر پاکستان اتھلیٹکس فیڈریشن میجر جنرل (ر) محمد اکرم ساہی ،اے اے اے کونسل میٹنگ اور کانگریس میں شرکت کریں گے جو کل 4 جولائی کوہوگی . 2013 ایشیائی ایتھلیٹکس چیمپئن شپ میںبھی پاکستانی کھلاڑیوں نے حصہ لیاتھا.ایشیائی چیمپئن شپ میں پاکستانیوں کی شمولیت کھٹائی میں پر گئی تھی کیونکہ دونوں پڑوسی ملکوں کے درمیان سرحدی کشیدگی کی وجہ سے ویزوں کے حصول میں تاخیر ہورہی تھی .پاکستان ایشیائی ایشیائی روئنگ چیمپئن شپ اور مئی میں چنائی میں ایشیائی سنوکر چیمپئن شپ میںبھی حصہ نہیں لے سکا تھا کیونکہ کھلاڑیوں کو ویزا نہیں دیا گیا تھا. پاکستان ہاکی ٹیم کوبھی ویزا نہیں دیا گیا جسکی وجہ سے جونیئر ورلڈ کپ لکھنؤ میں پاکستان نےشامل نہ هوسکا پاکستان کے ساتھ دو طرفہ کرکٹ کھیلنے کے لئے بھیبھارت انکار کرتا رھتا ہے. اس سال ایشیائی اتھلیٹکس چیمپئن شپ میں ایشیا کے 45 ممالک کے 800 سے زائد کھلاڑی حصہ لےرهے ھیں جبکے بھارت تیسری بار ایشیائی چیمپئن شپ کی میزبانی کر رہا ھے قبل ازیں ایشیائی چیمپئن شپ نئی دہلی (1989) اور ایشیائی چیمپئن شپ پونے (2013) ایشیائی چیمپئن شپ کی میزبانی کرچکا ہے.
Islamabad–Pakistan Athletics team will participate in the Asian Athletics Championships to be held in Bhubaneswar from 6-9 July. The team will leave via Wagah border today 3rd July 2017 and from Amritsar, then Pakistan team will proceed to Bhubaneswar by air.
Pakistani team members those were granted visas are javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem, 400m hurdler Mehboob Ali, his brother Nokar Hussain, Asad Iqbal Mazhar, Waqar Younis coach Syed Fayyaz Hussain and coach Mohammad Bilal.However Muhammad Zafar the Secretary General Athletics Federation of Pakistan and athlete Nishat are denied Indian visas. Maj Gen (R) Muhammad Akram Sahi, HI(M), SI(M) President Athletics Federation of Pakistan will now attend the AAA Council meeting and Congress on 4 and 5 July respectively.The Secretary General Athletics Federation of Pakistan who was elected on 21st September 2013 Athletics Federation of Pakistan was going to attend the Asian Athletics Association (AAA) Congress Meeting which is scheduled on 4th July 2017 tomorrow . Pakistani athletes also had taken part in the 2013 Asian Championships held in Pune. The Pakistani athletes have got the visas and they are expected to arrive in Bhubaneswar tomorrow. The participation of the Pakistanis in the Asian Championships had remained in doubt as their visas were delayed.
Due to the border tension between the two neighboring countries, Pakistan could not take part in the Asian Wrestling Championships and Asian Snooker Championships in Chennai in May as their players were not given visas.Last December, the Pakistan hockey team was not granted visas for the FIH Junior World Cup in Lucknow. India has also refused to play bilateral cricket with Pakistan. More than 800 athletes from 45 countries will take part in the event to be held at the renovated Kalinga Stadium, making it the biggest ever Asian Championships. This is the third time India is hosting the Asian Championships after New Delhi (1989) and Pune (2013).
