Lahore. The Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Rescue 1122 services have played an important role during natural calamities and their training is not less than any developed country. The Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif announced regularization of the remaining staff of Rescue 1122 and said that their service rules will be formulated by next month. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that nations emerge through better management of resources and Punjab provincial government has taken practical steps for capacity building of human resource. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated this while addressing the passing out parade of Rescue 1122 and inaugural of Rescue Services Academy in Lahore on Monday. The Chief Minister said Rescue services have played vital role during natural calamities. Eelier the Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated state-of-the-art 1122 Emergency Service Academy near Thokar Niaz Baig Lahore today. The Chief Minister watched practical training of rescuers in the academy and lauded their high standard of training and professional skills. The Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad announced regularization of the remaining staff of Rescue 1122 and said that their service rules will be formulated by next month. Professionals have been trained on modern lines and this academy will further help in making the emergency facilities at par with international standards and saving precious human lives.The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said while addressing the passing out parade of Rescue 1122 in Lahore, the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that targeted Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Asif Ali Zardari in his speech. “They are welcome to do politics in Punjab, but first they should look into the condition of metropolitan city,” he said.The Chief Minister further said thieves themselves are making noise about theft.“These thieves have eaten the whole country,” he claimed. The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif reportedly responding to Zardari’s statement regarding gaining ground in Punjab during next general elections. Former president Zardari also criticized PML-N for its policies and attitude towards other political parties and judiciary.Meanwhile the Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), Dr. Rizwan Naseer said that Rescue 1122 has become a symbol of safety in case of any nature of emergency, with average response time of seven minutes. He said that it was an opportunity for all emergency services of Pakistan to enhance their professional skills, where Rescue 1122 is providing comprehensive emergency care to the victims of emergencies, there, other emergency services of districts and other provinces can also enhance their capacity and professional skills. Punjab Emergency Service Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said that “This motorbike service would further enhance the operational capacity of the emergency service in Punjab to provide swift respond to any emergency in these major cities of Punjab, especially in congested areas and during traffic jams.”
