It is very interesting that the government did not well aware about this great honor and achievement by Khyber Khyber Pakhtun Khwa, Peshawar-based sports Pakistani journalist, Amjad Aziz Malik is the first ever Pakistani who become the general secretary of the Asian Sports Journalists’ Association (AIPS).After winning the elections, Amjad Aziz Malik got felicitation through telephone from the president of Kazakhstan, the Sri Lankan prime minister, leaders of Chinese Communist Party and other international leaders. Unfortunately, the Pakistani government did not well aware what Mr, Amjad Aziz has achieved on world level .The culture of appreciation in our country is not so good in our society, but the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sports writers association ,the Federal Minister for IPC, Mian Riaz Husain Pirzada and DG PSB, Dr. Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera and some prominent sports lover organization arranged reception in the honor of newly elected AIPS secretary Amjad Aziz Malik .He said that being the secretary of Asian sports journalists association, it is my prime responsibility to work for the sports journalists of the whole Asian continent , particularly for the journalists of Pakistan. The Khyber Pakhtun Khwa, Peshawar-based sports journalist, Amjad Aziz Malik said that everybody in Pakistan has suffered due to terrorism and extremism. In fact, it is the victory of the people of Pakistan. I promoted the soft image of Pakistan at the international level. I think what I did on that occasion; our diplomatic missions in other countries should have done quite early.
Mr. Amjad Aziz Malik stated that the in 2005, I told the then Chief Capital City Police (CCPO) Malik Saad that there is lot of talent in sports in Fata and the province but due to lack of interest from the government, this talent is being wasted. I suggested him to establish a trust with the name of Frontier Fata Sports. The then governor Commander Khalil also appreciated the idea. After two years when Malik Saad was martyred in a suicide attack in 2007, the trust established in his name. The trust became functional in 2010 after it was registered. Apart from this, the trust also works in field of education and health. The basic purpose of Malik Saad Trust is to serve the humanity .We have sent our football team to Bahrain where it won a three-match series against a local football club. Out tribal areas have the most talented players in our country. But unfortunately, the talent is being wasted due to unavailability of resources and opportunities.Mr, Amjad Aziz Malik disclosed that recently, a young sportsman from Bajuar ‘’Hayatullah’’ visited the Sri Lanka along with Pakistan junior cricket team. Hayatullah, is an associated with Malik Saad Sports Trust. The provincial government is nowadays planning to arrange inter-district games and it has allocated Rs75 million for the purpose. We have repeatedly offered our services to the provincial government .We will arrange all the events and games in only Rs20 million.Mr, Amjad Aziz Malik stated that KPK government is constructing grounds in the province. Now the question arises who will be responsible for the maintenance of these grounds. Amjad Aziz Malik suggested the government to hand over the sports complex in Hayat Ababd youth talent hunt programme. We develop it into a world class cricket ground. This is not the job of the government to run sports clubs and maintain sports facilities. The government should hand over this to private sector. The associations can better handle it, he said. Mr. Amjad Aziz Malik stated that no doubt PTI chairman Mr, Imran Khan and Chief Minister Mr,Pervez Khattak want to work for the promotion of sports in the province but the lower government machinery is not sincere and effective in this regard, he concludes. Mean while the former founder chairman South Asia Sports Journalist Association (SASJA)Mr. Asghar Ali Mubarak during a meeting suggest the name of Mr.Amjad Aziz Malik the general secretary of the Asian Sports Journalists’ Association (AIPS) and resident editor the express group of news papers, for Pakistan top civil award the pride of performance, Asghar Ali Mubarak the senior Pakistani journalist wrote the letters to the President of Pakistan, Prime minister of Pakistan , Governor KPK, Chief minister KPC,Chaiman PTI Imran Khan for the recommendation of Mr.Amjad Aziz Malik from KPK Province in this regards.
