1st HASCOL National Ranking Tennis Championships, 2016 begin at PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad

Islamabad -The inaugural HASCOL National Ranking Tennis Championships commenced today at S. Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad. Pakistan’s top players Aqeel Khan, Sara Mansoor, Ushna Suhail, Muhammad Abid, Sarah Mahboob Khan, Muzammil Murtaza, Haris Irfan ul Haq, Shoaib Khan and Aqib Khan participating in this national ranking event. Saqib Umer, Usman Ejaz, Syed Nofil Kaleem, Raja Shahid, Ilham Khan, Yousaf Khan, Huzaifa A. Rehman and Hamza Bin Asif qualified for the main draw of Men’s Singles.In view of Rs. 0.5 million prize money this has become Grade 1 Tournament on the National Tennis Circuit. The organizers have received 150 entries for various events. The sponsor HASCOL is the leading and fast growing Petroleum Company in Pakistan. All the outstation players are entitled to Rs.700 as daily allowance until elimination, and all outstation main draw players will also get economy class railway fare both way. On the opening day 24 men’s singles qualifying round matches were played and decided. Following are the final round results.
Saqib Umer beat Kashif Khan 6-1, 6-3; Usman Ejaz beat Shakir ullah 6-0,6-0; Syed Nofil Kaleem beat Rashid Khan 6-1,6-2; Raja Shahid beat Asad ullah 6-3,6-2; Ilham Khan beat Musa Chaudhry. 6-0,6-0; Yousaf Khan beat Nadir Bhachani 6-1,6-1; Huzaifa Abdul Rehman beat Husnain Mehmood and Hamza bin Asif beat Farhan Ahmed 6-0,6-0.Fixture for next day matches.Men’s Singles first round at 0900 am,Boys under 18 at 11:30 am,Boys under 14 at 3:30 pm. Secretary Muhammad Khalid Rehmani advised to Players report for their matches on time as Code of Conduct will be enforced.
