In a meeting with the ILO chief, Federal Minister Sajid Hussain Tori said that Pakistan shares his vision of the need for unity. He also appreciated the assistance provided by the organization’s Islamabad office to the flood victims of Sindh and Balochistan.
“Given the scale of the calamity and those affected, I would request that you consider increasing the level of cash for the work that we have undertaken with limited resources,” the minister said. In a statement, the federal minister expressed good wishes on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and said that Pakistan is currently in the process of preparing the World of Work Crisis Response Strategy with the support of the country office of the ILO. “The purpose of this strategy is to provide the necessary guidance to all stakeholders, both at the federal and provincial levels, on how to effectively respond to crises while focusing on protecting jobs and employment,” said Federal Minister Hongbo. Islamabad has recently started the fourth phase of Decent Work Country Program with the technical assistance of ILO.
“It is our hope that the priorities outlined in the program will be addressed jointly by the three constituencies, with the technical assistance of the ILO,” the federal minister said. سمندر پار پاکستانیوں اور انسانی وسائل کی ترقی کے وفاقی وزیر ساجد حسین طوری کی قیادت میں سہ فریقی وفد نے انٹرنیشنل لیبر آرگنائزیشن (آئی ایل او) کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل گلبرٹ ایف ہونگبو سے ملاقات کی، جس میں عالمی اتحاد برائے سماجی انصاف کا قومی پائلٹ شروع کرنے کے لیے رضاکارانہ خدمات انجام دینے کے لیے حکومت کی رضامندی کا اظہار کیا۔
آئی ایل او کے سربراہ سے ملاقات میں وفاقی وزیر ساجد حسین طوری نے کہا کہ پاکستان اتحاد کی ضرورت کے بارے میں اپنے وژن کا اشتراک کرتا ہے۔ انہوں نے سندھ اور بلوچستان کے سیلاب متاثرین کے لیے تنظیم کے اسلام آباد آفس کی جانب سے فراہم کی جانے والی امداد کو بھی سراہا۔
وفاقی وزیر نے کہا کہ “آفت کے پیمانے اور اس سے متاثر ہونے والوں کو دیکھتے ہوئے، میں گزارش کروں گا کہ کام کے لیے نقد رقم کی سطح کو بڑھانے پر غور کریں جو ہم نے محدود وسائل کے ساتھ شروع کیا تھا،” وزارت کے ایک بیان میں پڑھا گیا۔وفاقی وزیر نے وزیر اعظم شہباز شریف کی جانب سے نیک خواہشات کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان اس وقت ILO کے ملکی دفتر کے تعاون سے ورلڈ آف ورک کرائسز ریسپانس سٹریٹیجی تیار کرنے کے عمل میں ہے۔ “اس حکمت عملی کا مقصد تمام اسٹیک ہولڈرز کو، وفاقی اور صوبائی دونوں سطحوں پر ضروری رہنمائی فراہم کرنا ہے، کہ بحرانوں کا کس طرح مؤثر طریقے سے جواب دینے کے ساتھ ملازمتوں اور روزگار کے تحفظ پر توجہ دی جائے۔”وفاقی وزیر نے ہونگبو سے ملاقات میں کہا کہ اسلام آباد نے حال ہی میں آئی ایل او کی تکنیکی مدد سے ڈیسنٹ ورک کنٹری پروگرام کے چوتھے مرحلے کا آغاز کیا ہے۔
وفاقی وزیر نے کہا کہ “یہ ہماری امید ہے کہ پروگرام میں بیان کردہ ترجیحات کو تینوں حلقوں کی طرف سے مشترکہ طور پر، ILO کی تکنیکی مدد سے حل کیا جائے گا۔”وفاقی وزیر نے پاکستان کے لیے روزگار کی ترقی کے ساتھ ساتھ لیبر پالیسیوں میں بھی آئی ایل او سے تعاون کی درخواست کی۔ وفاقی وزیر نے کہا کہ”ملازمت کی تخلیق ہمارے لیے ایک اعلیٰ ترجیح ہے اور ہم روزگار پیدا کرنے کے پروگراموں میں پروگرامی اور پروجیکٹ پر مبنی تعاون کو مدعو کرنا چاہیں گے۔” انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت اقوام متحدہ کے سکریٹری جنرل کی جانب سے ملازمتوں اور محض منتقلی کے لیے سماجی تحفظ کے عالمی ایکسلریٹر کے اقدام کے لیے پاتھ فائنڈر ممالک میں سے ایک کے طور پر حصہ لینے کے لیے بھی بے چین ہے۔وفاقی وزیر نے کہا کہ “پاکستان میں اس ایجنڈے کو آگے بڑھانے کے لیے، ہم صرف منتقلی پر ایک بین وزارتی کمیٹی کے قیام کے عمل میں ہیں۔ ہمارا مقصد بین الاقوامی شراکت داروں کے ساتھ تعاون کرنا ہے تاکہ اس کوشش میں ان کی حمایت حاصل کی جا سکے۔”وفاقی وزیر نے کہا کہ نے آئی ایل او کے سربراہ کو جدید ترین پیشہ ورانہ حفاظت اور صحت (او ایس ایچ) کنونشنز – C-155 اور C-187 کی ترجیحی منظوری کے بارے میں بھی آگاہ کیا۔ انہوں نے انہیں پاکس
