Theme song ‘’United We Win ‘’performed by singer Ali Zafar who is the star ambassador of the team as well. Theme song launched in an event held in Pak-China Friendship Center. Actor, model and singer Fawad Khan and Ali Zafar are the brand ambassadors for the franchise. Islamabad United is a Pakistani professional Twenty20 franchise team that will compete in the Pakistan Super League. The team is based in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan and was formed in 2015 to compete in the first season of the Pakistan Super League. The franchise is owned by Leonine Global Investments through its sports entity Leonine Global Sports. The team will be captained by Pakistan’s most successful test captain Misbah-ul-Haq and coached by former Australian player Dean Jones. The team director will be former Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram. In 2015, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the inaugural season of the Pakistan Super League would take place in February 2016 in the United Arab Emirates. On 3 December 2015, the PCB unveiled the owners of five city-based franchises. The Islamabad franchise was sold to Leonine Global Sports for US$15 Million. The team logo and name was revealed on 22 December 2015 in a ceremony held at the Polo Club in Islamabad. The logo features a lion; the team’s primary colors are orange and yellow. 8th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto observed By.Asghar Ali Mubarak Rawalpindi—-The eighth death anniversary of former prime minster and Pakistan People’s Party head Benazir Bhutto was observed on Sunday at the Liaquat Bagh of Rawalpindi.The party has arranged Quran Khwani and Fateha in Rawalpindi, while the main event was held at Bhutto’s hometown Garhi Khuda Bakhsh. The day was start with Quran Khwani followed by langar or free food. The main jalsa was arranged at the Liaquat Bagh of Rawalpindi by the party supporters and leaders Aamir Fida Peracha, Raja IsrarAhmed, Raja Imran Ashraf and others. The party workers observe two-minute silence at 5:20pm to pay homage to the martyred leader, followed by Fateha at 5:25pm. Fire at hotel in PC Rawalpindi, no one hurt, guests shifted to Marriott hotels Islamabad By.Asghar Ali Mubarak Rawalpindi -A fire has occurred at the famous Pearl Continental Hotel in Rawalpindi but no one was hurt. The firefighters using water hoses to extinguish the flames and army trying to rescue people through the windows as smoke billowed out.The hotel staff said after the incident some guest use bed sheet/ Chader and towels as rope to rescue after heavy smoke entered in 5thFloor. P C Rawalpindi is located near Pakistan’s Army Head Quarters and soon after the incident the army’s Jawans trying to rescue people through the windows as smoke billowed out. PC Rawalpindi is one of the main hotels in the city, also popular with foreigners. Renowned Pakistan born British writer and poet Syed Anjum Raza who was the guest in PC Hotel room number 524 and was on the 5th floor stated that upon smelling the smoke, he informed the management of the hotel but they were told there was nothing to worry about and asked to go back to sleep. He said that there was an emergency situation and we can take risk, all smoke become entered in the room where guest were stayed. Thanks God ‘’we all are safe ‘he stated. Eyewitness Syed Anjum Raza said he had been told that the fire started on one of the hotel’s basement.”OH my God “Hope everyone is safe, it’s so busy out there.”He later added: “Awful, just awful – be safe.”The fire, whose cause is yet to be ascertained, started in the record room of the finance section, giving out smoke that travelled to the upper floors and filled the entire space of the multi-storey building of the five-star hotel. What really shocked the occupants of the hotel is that there was no staff to alert them nor was there any alarm system or if there was one it did not set off any alarm. Fire tenders came very late. However, they managed to put out the fire in the basement and all the occupants were safely rescued. The fire completely gutted the record room of the finance section, turning all the records stored inside to ashes. Pakistani police say a fire broke out after midnight at the famous Pearl Continental Hotel in the garrison city of Rawalpindi but no one was hurt. Local police official Naeem Rabbabi says it was unclear what caused the fire and authorities are still investigating. Local police official says firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. Although no casualties were reported in the incident while the hotel guests were later shifted to Marriott hotels Islamabad. Guests were earlier seen hanging from the windows of the fourth and fifth floor of the hotel in order to save their lives. The army was called in to assist with the rescue effort. Last week one person died and 14 were hurt in the Dubai hotel fire – but thousands had a miracle escape, it was reported tonight.Government officials said that one person had died and 14 were injured in the huge blaze.The fire appeared to break out from the 20th floor of the Address Downtown and soon spread throughout the rest of the building. Fire engulfed a 63-storey skyscraper in downtown Dubai .
