Pak Army Distribute 2 days Ration Among Flood Affectees……….Report ; Asghar Ali Mubarak……….Pakistan Army has pledged its share of two days rations to flood affected population in Balochistan, Sindh, Southern Punjab, KP and Gilgit Baltistan. The subject relief items including Flour, Sugar, Rice, Tea , Cooking Oil , Milk Powder and pulses will be distributed by Army Formations to flood victims in different areas.Earlier on other day Pakistan Army is continuing relief and rescue operations in flood-affected areas of the country, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The military’s press wing said the troops are assisting in dewatering the affected areas and transferring the victims to safer places. Medical aid and food have also been provided to the victims, it added. It further said that troops are busy in rescue, relief efforts apart from providing medical care and opening up communication infrastructureArmy’s local commanders visited Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan districts and relief items were distributed among flood affected people. Medical camps have also been established in flood-affected areas of both districts. In Balochistan, complete connectivity of Gandhawa area of Jhal Magsi has been restored. Currently, there is no isolated area in Gandhawa and its surroundings whereas relief activities are also underway in the area.
The army is working on restoration of M-8 Motorway. A medical camp has been es established at CMH Khuzdar where 115 patients have been treated so far. Relief activities are also underway for affected population of Babakot and Gandakha in Naseerabad. The army troops distributed food ration and cooked meals among the flood victims.
Army troops are also continuing their relief activities in areas of Noshki, Lasbela, Kila Saifullah and areas of Gilgit Baltistan.. According to details, cooked food was distributed among over 400 people and ration bags to thirty families. The district administration also distributed tents among the flood-affected families of Ranwal village. It is to mention here that due to heavy rains; the water inundated the village and later on flash floods caused damage to various houses.
Pak Army, FC South, District Administration, Rescue 1122, local police, and volunteers were immediately mobilized to rescue people in the affected areas and provide all possible facilitation. The affected people highly appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Army, FC South and the district administration for great efforts to rescue people. They also demanded the government conduct an immediate survey to ascertain the losses of affected people and compensate for their losses..Apart from rescuing people to safer places, the Pak Army and FC South also distributed 715 bags of food items more than five thousands kilograms. The flood affectees appreciated the efforts made by Pak Army and FC officers and jawans.
They also interacted with the flood affectees and assured them of the Pak Army’s full support and cooperation.
The Armed Forces of Pakistan has always stood by its people in every challenging time. Even in natural calamities, Pakistan Army has proved its mettle as the front line warrior.
Senior officers of Pak Army and FC South and Jawans were also played crucial role in rescue operations as first respondent to rescue stranded people. Commanding Officer 25 Sindh and Tehsil Mayor Tank Saddam Khan Bettani distributed more than 5,000 kg bags of flour from the Pakistan Army and FC South to the flood affected families.
The Pakistan Army, FC South and Rescue 1122 have played vital role in rescue operation. Sector Commander South and Commanding Officer 25 Sindh were also took part in the rescue operation.
According to reports, 90% of the houses in UC Pai and adjoining areas have been completely affected and most of the families have lost boundary walls and roofs of their houses.
