Islamabad-More than 400 athletes and officials will participate in the National Taekwondo Championship start from 13th September 2015 at Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad. The Opening Ceremony of National Taekwondo Championship 2015 will be an immersive and uniquely Taekwondo-style on Monday 14th of September, 2015. This was stated by President, Pakistan Taekwondo Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Lt Col Waseem Ahmed (Retd). The joyous celebration of impactful sporting celebration, personal development and friendship will feature 400 athletes from Punjab, KPK, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, FATA, Islamabad, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, Railway, Police, Wapda and Higher Education Commission, mostly aged 18-25, aiming for 60 Gold, 60 Silver and 120 Bronze Medals in 34 Categories over 5 days of competition, said, Lt Col Waseem Ahmed (Retd)Further the President, Pakistan Taekwondo Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Lt Col Waseem Ahmed (Retd), said: “Islamabad is proud to once again lead the Taekwondo Family as we host the National Taekwondo Championship and welcome more than 400 athletes and officials from across the Country. PSB have great facilities in place and look forward to seeing some strong performances from these young athletes and champions of tomorrow. After the successful National Junior and Senior Championships last year, we are confident that all athletes, officials and new visitors to this mega event will take away fond memories, new friendships and great experiences of their time in Islamabad.
