Source: National Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship 2015 start from today By .Asghar Ali Mubarak Islamabad—-The Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) together with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is organizing ‘ICRC National Disabled T-20 Cricket Championship 2015’ for people with physical disabilities in Karachi. During the championship, the cricket players with disabilities will demonstrate how they have defeated their disability – they will show the world that human will is stronger than any disease or disability. The an important element of the ICRC’s physical rehabilitation program has been the social inclusion of the people with physical disabilities – to make them an effective part of the society. In the past, the ICRC had offered economic reintegration to such people (through its micro-economic initiatives) and recently it has been helping them in sporting activities, getting education and technical skills allowing them to reintegrate in to the society and shun the trauma faced due to their disability.The twelves participating teams Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Quetta, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Dera Murad Jamali, Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Sargodha and Peshawar will compete to become the national champion.
