Islamabad <P.R>The main accused of Islamabad shootout drama, named as Sikandar has filed a bail petition after his arrest through his lawyers/ Advocates Asghar Ali Mubarak ,Miss Tahira Bano Mubarak ,Miss Uzma Mubarak in FIR/case No, 398/13 before court of Syed Kousar Abbas Zaidi learned judge of Anti-Terrorism Court No-1 Islamabad on Monday . Notices are issued in this regard and the next date of hearing is fixed 8th September 2015 for arguments .The Islamabad police registered a case against Muhammad Sikandar at Kohsar police station on 16-08-13 under Section 324/506-11,341/337H-11,279/427, Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) 13/20/65 AO. Sikandar’s wife Kanwal and other accused were also named in the FIR. There was allegation upon Sikandar that he opened fire in the heavily policed heart of Islamabad after slipping past the capital’s many checkpoints. Sikandar was demanding a safe passage and protection for his family. Sikandar was finally arrested after six hours but not before receiving bullet wounds from security personnel. He was taken into custody and hospitalized at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.He was seriously wounded by police during a dramatic standoff. The stand-off came to a head when politician Zamarud Khan, who was acting as a negotiator, jumped on Sikandar and tried to disarm him. The stand-off, which began at 5.30 pm ended at 11 pm. “He received two bullets, one in the upper body and one in the left leg,” he added. “The woman was also hit in her right leg. The children had not been injured. On November 26, Islamabad police had submitted a challan in a court against Sikandar, accusing him of putting lives of innocent people in danger and of using children as human shield. He was also accused of the unlawful use of weapons in the challan. Around 30 witnesses had recorded statements against Sikandar. A joint team investigation was consist officials from the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the CID, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and police, the team already submitted its report. His wife Kanwal is already on bail she was released on bail from the Central Jail Adiala Rawalpindi Jail on October 23.—
