NDMA stall center of attention at Data fest 2024 Islamabad

Under the direction of Chairman National Disaster Management Authority Lt. Gen. Inam Haider Malik, Pakistan’s first Data Fest 2024 was the center of attention at the NDMA stall festival where students, youths on the occasion of the visit.
Deputy Manager Zeshan Khalid, Manager Colonel Retired Muhammad Murad Tajawar, Assistant Manager Ayman Fatima, Dur e Maknoon Assistant Manager, Raja Umair Arshad Assistant Manager, Kashif Iqbal Deputy Manager, Shahrukh Malik Malik Assistant Manager said that the National Disaster Management Authority is an independent and constitutionally established federal authority which is mandated to deal with the entire spectrum of disasters and their management in the country.
Deputy Manager Zeshan Khalid said NDMA formulates and implements national disaster policies at federal and state levels.
Works closely with various government ministries, military forces, and UN-based organizations to coordinate joint efforts to carry out its disaster management, and a wide range of rescue and humanitarian operations.
Dur e Maknoon, assistant manager, said it aims to develop sustainable operational capacity and professional competence to carry out humanitarian work to its full potential.
Speaking to the media, Ms Ayman Fatima Assistant Manager said that the duties and responsibilities have been determined by the Constitution of Pakistan.
It is worth mentioning here that the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has sent the second batch of humanitarian aid to Lebanon on the instructions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan. This aid containing about 100 tons of goods was dispatched from Karachi on October 17, 2024.
Including medicines, ready-to-eat meat, tents, tarpaulins, winter clothes, bedding and milk powder, the event was attended by representatives of NDMA, Ministry of External Affairs and local authorities. The speakers emphasized the urgent need for assistance to the war-affected populations of Gaza and Lebanon and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to providing assistance. Pakistan’s first Data fest 2024 has been organized in Islamabad by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics at the Pakistan-China Friendship Center. اور شاہ رخ ملک اسسٹنٹ منیجر نے کہا کہ نیشنل ڈیزاسٹر منیجمنٹ اتھارٹی ایک خودمختار اور آئینی طور پر قائم وفاقی اتھارٹی ہے جو ملک میں آفات اور ان کے انتظام کے تمام سپیکٹرم سے نمٹنے کا پابند ہے۔

مختلف سرکاری وزارتوں، فوجی دستوں، اور اقوام متحدہ میں قائم تنظیموں کے ساتھ مل کر کام کرتا ہے تاکہ اس کے ڈیزاسٹر مینجمنٹ، اور بچاؤ اور انسانی بنیادوں پر کارروائیوں کی وسیع رینج کو انجام دینے کے لیے مشترکہ کوششوں کو مربوط کیا جا سکے۔
اسسٹنٹ مینیجر، در مکنون نے کہا کہ اس کا مقصد پائیدار آپریشنل صلاحیت اور پیشہ ورانہ اہلیت کو فروغ دینا ہے تاکہ وہ اپنی پوری صلاحیت کے ساتھ انسانی ہمدردی کے کاموں کو انجام دے سکے۔
محترمہ ایمن فاطمہ اسسٹنٹ منیجر نے میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ فرائض اور فرائض کا تعین آئین پاکستان نے کیا ہے۔
یہاں یہ بات قابل ذکر ہے کہ نیشنل ڈیزاسٹر مینجمنٹ اتھارٹی (این ڈی ایم اے) نے وزیراعظم پاکستان کی ہدایت پر لبنان کو انسانی امداد کی دوسری کھیپ بھیجی ہے۔ تقریباً 100 ٹن سامان پر مشتمل یہ امداد 17 اکتوبر 2024 کو کراچی سے روانہ کی گئی تھی۔
جس میں ادویات، کھانے کے لیے تیار گوشت، خیمے، ترپال، سردیوں کے کپڑے، بستر اور پاؤڈر دودھ شامل تھے، تقریب میں این ڈی ایم اے، وزارت خارجہ اور مقامی حکام کے نمائندوں نے شرکت کی۔ مقررین نے غزہ اور لبنان کی جنگ سے متاثرہ آبادیوں کی امداد کی فوری ضرورت پر زور دیا اور امداد کی فراہمی کے لیے پاکستان کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔ پاکستان کے پہلے ڈیٹا فیسٹ 2024 کا اسلام آباد میں انعقاد پاکستان بیورو آف سٹیٹسٹکس نے پاک چائنا فرینڈشپ سینٹر میں کیاہے اپنی نوعیت کے اس پہلے ڈیٹا فیسٹ 2024 کا مقصد پاکستان میں صحت کی دیکھ بھال تک رسائی، سماجی مساوات اور پائیدار ترقی سمیت اہم چیلنجوں سے نمٹنے کے لیے تعاون، علم کے تبادلے اور قابل عمل حکمت عملیوں کو فروغ دینا ہے۔
