صدر پاکستان کے عہدے کے لیے راولپنڈی سے قومی اسمبلی کے سابق امیدوار اصغر علی مبارک نے اسلام آباد میں الیکشن کمیشن آف پاکستان کے مرکزی دفتر سے کاغذات نامزدگی حاصل کر لیے ہیں۔
کاغذات نامزدگی وصول کرنے کے موقع پر اصغر علی مبارک ایڈووکیٹ نے کہا کہ انہوں نے آئین پاکستان میں درج حقوق کے تحت پاکستانی شہری ہونے کی تمام شرائط پوری کر کے کاغذات نامزدگی حاصل کیے ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ صدر عارف علوی کے دور میں ایک سیاسی جماعت سے یہ تعلق برقرار رکھنے سے عوامی مشکلات میں اضافہ ہوا۔ زیادہ اختیارات ہوں تو پارلیمانی جمہوریت پر عوام کا اعتماد بحال ہو سکتا ہے۔ صدر کا عہدہ بے اختیار ہونے کی وجہ سے بے معنی ہو چکا ہے۔ جمہوریت کے لیے بہتر ہو گا کہ صدر کے دفتر کو خصوصی اختیارات تفویض کیے جائیں کیونکہ یہ پارلیمنٹ کا حصہ ہے۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ چونکہ ملک کے صدر کا عہدہ غیر سیاسی ہے اس لیے آئینی ترمیم کے ذریعے عوام کو براہ راست صدر پاکستان کا انتخاب کرنے کا حق دیا جائے بصورت دیگر یہ عہدہ سیاسی مصلحت کے رحم و کرم پر رہے گا۔

Former National Assembly candidate Asghar Ali Mubarak from Rawalpindi has received nomination papers from the Election Commission of Pakistan’s central office in Islamabad to participate in the election for the post of President of the State of Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion of receiving the nomination papers, Asghar Ali Mubarak Advocate said that he has received the nomination papers by fulfilling all the conditions of being a Pakistani citizen under the rights in the Constitution of Pakistan.
He said that during the period of President Arif Alvi, maintaining this relationship with a political party increased public difficulties. If so, the people’s trust in parliamentary democracy can be restored, the office of the president has become meaningless due to the powerless office. It will be better for democracy to assign special powers to the office of the president because it is a part of the parliament.
He said that because the position of the President of the country was non-political, therefore, through the constitutional amendment, the people should get the right to directly elect the President of Pakistan, otherwise this position will remain at the mercy of political expediency. If there are more powers, people’s confidence in parliamentary democracy can be restored. The office of the President has become meaningless due to powerlessness. It would be better for democracy to assign special powers to the office of the President as it is part of the Parliament.
He said that since the position of the President of the country is non-political, the people should be given the right to directly elect the President of Pakistan through constitutional amendment, otherwise this position will remain at the mercy of political expediency.
