اسلام آباد (.(اصغر علی مبارک) )راولپنڈی اسلام آباد اسپورٹس جرنلسٹس ایسوسی ایشن (رسجا) نے عالمی یوم کھیل کو منانے کے حوالے سے خصوصی تقریب کا انعقاد کیا جس میں پاکستان میں ذمہ دارانہ اسپورٹس رپورٹنگ کے فروغ کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا گیا
اسلام آباد کے مقامی ہوٹل میں منعقدہ تقریب میں سینئر اسپورٹس صحافیوں، کھلاڑیوں، پاکستان اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن، اسلام آباد اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن سمیت مختلف اسپورٹس فیڈریشنز کے عہدیداروں نے شرکت کی۔
تقریب کے دوران نامور سینئر صحافیوں کو ان کی خدمات پر خراج تحسین پیش کیا گیا جبکہ نوجوان صحافیوں کو اعلیٰ صحافتی اقدار اپنانے کی ترغیب دی گئی۔
رسجا کے صدر ابوبکر بن طلعت نے تقریب کی صدارت کی جبکہ سرپرست عبدالمحی شاہ اور چیٸرمین شکیل اعوان خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ دن ہمیں یاد دلاتا ہے کہ اسپورٹس جرنلسٹس صرف مقابلوں کی کوریج نہیں کرتے بلکہ وہ قومی فخر، فیئر پلے اور اولمپک جذبے کو فروغ دینے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔
تقریب کی خاص بات پاکستان اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن کی جانب سے اسپورٹس صحافیوں کو خراج تحسین پیش کرنے کا خصوصی پیغام تھا۔ پی او اے کے صدر عارف سعید اور سیکرٹری جنرل محمد خالد محمود نے اپنے پیغام میں اسپورٹس میڈیا کی خدمات کو سراہتے ہوے کہاکہ عالمی یوم کھیل کے موقع پر پاکستان اولمپک ایسوسی ایشن دنیا بھر کے اسپورٹس صحافیوں، خاص طور پر پاکستان کے باہمت صحافیوں کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم اس بات کے لیے پُرعزم ہیں کہ اسپورٹس صحافیوں کے ساتھ مل کر ایک ایسا کھیلوں کا ماحول پیدا کریں جو اخلاقی، متاثرکن اور ہماری نوجوان نسل کے قابلِ فخر ہو۔ اس موقع پر کیک کاٹا گیا جبکہ کھیلوں کی صحافت کو درپیش جدید دور کے چیلنجز اور سوشل میڈیا کے کردار پر مباحثہ بھی منعقد ہوا۔

Islamabad (.(Asghar Ali Mubarak) ) The Rawalpindi Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA) organized a special event to celebrate World Sports Day in which the commitment to promote responsible sports reporting in Pakistan was reiterated.
The event held at a local hotel in Islamabad was attended by senior sports journalists, players, officials of various sports federations including the Pakistan Olympic Association, Islamabad Olympic Association.
During the event, eminent senior journalists were paid tribute for their services while young journalists were encouraged to adopt high journalistic values.
Rasja President Abubakar Bin Talat presided over the ceremony while Patron Abdul Mohi Shah and Chairman Shakeel Awan addressed the gathering and said that this day reminds us that sports journalists do not just cover competitions but also play an important role in promoting national pride, fair play and the Olympic spirit.
The highlight of the event was a special message from the Pakistan Olympic Association to pay tribute to sports journalists. POA President Arif Saeed and Secretary General Muhammad Khalid Mahmood, in their messages, appreciated the services of sports journalists and said that on the occasion of World Sports Day, the Pakistan Olympic Association pays tribute to sports journalists from all over the world, especially the courageous journalists of Pakistan. They said that we are determined to work with sports journalists to create a sports environment that is ethical, inspiring and worthy of the pride of our young generation.
A cake was cut on the occasion while a discussion was also held on the challenges faced by sports journalism in the modern era and the role of social media.
