Pakistan has officially decided that Pakistan will not play the remaining matches in the Asia Cup until the match referee is removed. Chairman PCB and Asian Cricket Council Chairman Mohsin Naqvi wrote in a tweet on the social networking website ‘X’ that the PCB has filed a complaint with the ICC.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the PCB informed the ICC that the match referee had violated the ICC Code of Conduct and MCC rules. The Chairman PCB further said that the match referee should be removed from the Asia Cup immediately. The Asian Cricket Council is also likely to impose fines on the Indian team.
It should be noted that the Pakistan Cricket Board has written a letter to the International Cricket Board (ICC) and the MCC, taking the position in the letter that India violated the sportsmanship spirit during the match against Pakistan. In the letter, Pakistan demanded the removal of match referee Andy Pycroft from the Asia Cup, while Pakistan has also informed the tournament director of the Asia Cup. محسن نقوی کا کہنا تھا کہ پی سی بی نے آئی سی سی کو بتایا کہ میچ ریفری نے آئی سی سی کے ضابطہ اخلاق اور ایم سی سی کے قوانین کی خلاف ورزی کی ہے۔ چیئرمین پی سی بی کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ میچ ریفری کو فوراً ایشیا کپ سے ہٹا دیا جائے۔ ایشین کرکٹ کونسل کی جانب سے بھی بھارتی ٹیم پر جرمانے عائد کیے جانے کا امکان ہے۔
