Pakistan Protests Indian Naval Ship’s Violation; Indian Chargé d’Affaires Summoned
Pakistan has lodged a strong protest over the violation of its Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) by the Indian naval ship INS Kolkata. Terming this action a breach of bilateral agreements, Pakistan warned that restraint regarding such provocations in the future cannot be guaranteed. According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Indian Chargé d’Affaires stationed at the Indian High Commission in Islamabad to register a strong protest against the highly provocative and unacceptable actions of the Indian naval ship in Pakistan’s EEZ on September 15, 2026.
The Indian Chargé d’Affaires was told to inform the Indian government that Pakistan categorically rejects such actions; emphasis was placed on the need to adhere to international law and bilateral agreements—specifically those designed to prevent such incidents at sea.
The Foreign Office spokesperson stated that Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in New Delhi would issue a similar demarche to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
According to the spokesperson, the Indian naval ship INS Kolkata engaged in provocative and irresponsible maneuvers within Pakistan’s maritime boundaries; the ship’s activities constitute a blatant violation of bilateral agreements.
The spokesperson noted that the Pakistan Navy has been conducting ‘Seaspark-26’ exercises in the Pakistani EEZ since September 1; starting September 7, the Indian naval ship and its onboard helicopter repeatedly attempted to enter the area where the Pakistan Navy exercises were taking place. The Foreign Office stated that INS Kolkata engaged in dangerous and provocative maneuvers near Pakistan Navy ships; these Indian actions did not constitute a routine deployment but rather a violation of the 1991 bilateral agreement, as the Indian naval vessel persisted in irresponsible behavior despite repeated warnings.
Regarding the incident, the Foreign Office spokesperson explained that on September 15, INS Kolkata altered its course dangerously and collided with the Pakistan Navy ship PNS Hunain. Despite attempts by PNS Hunain to avert a collision, physical contact occurred between the vessels; following the incident, INS Kolkata increased its speed and fled the area.
The spokesperson added that the Indian naval vessel’s actions were highly provocative and could have triggered a serious crisis; however, the Pakistan Navy’s professional and responsible conduct prevented the situation from escalating. Nevertheless, Pakistan views these violations by the Indian Navy with grave concern.
The spokesperson noted that India is attempting to escalate the matter diplomatically by distorting the facts. These Indian actions reflect a deliberate attempt to undermine regional peace. India must adhere to bilateral agreements and responsible conduct, and Indian authorities should take immediate measures to prevent such incidents.
The Foreign Office emphasized that Pakistan has made it clear that the current level of restraint shown in the face of Indian provocations should not be taken for granted in the future.
بھارتی بحری جہاز کی خلاف ورزی پر پاکستان کااحتجاج, بھارتی ناظم الامور کی طلبی
بھارتی بحری جہاز آئی این ایس کولکتہ کی جانب سے پاکستانی خصوصی اقتصادی زون کی خلاف ورزی پر پاکستان نے شدید احتجاج کیا ہے اور اس اقدام کو دو طرفہ معاہدے کی خلاف ورزی قرار دیتے ہوئے خبردار کیا ہے کہ مستقبل میں ایسی اشتعال انگیزی پر ضبط کرنا یقینی نہیں سمجھا جائے۔ ترجمان دفترخارجہ کے مطابق وزارت خارجہ نے اسلام آباد میں بھارتی ہائی کمیشن میں تعینات ناظم الامور کو طلب کرکے 15 ستمبر 2026 کو پاکستان کے خصوصی اقتصادی زون میں بھارتی بحری جہاز کے انتہائی اشتعال انگیز اور ناقابل قبول اقدام پر شدید احتجاج ریکارڈ کروایا گیا۔
بھارتی ناظم الامور کو واضح کیا گیا کہ بھارتی حکومت کا آگاہ کیا جائے کہ پاکستان اس طرح کے اقدام کو سختی سے مسترد کرتا ہے اور زور دیا گیا کہ بین الاقوامی قانون اور دو طرفہ معاہدوں خاص طور پر سمندر میں اس طرح واقعات سے بچنے کے لیے موجود معاہدوں کی پاسداری کریں۔
ترجمان دفتر خارجہ نے بتایا کہ بھارتی دارالحکومت نئی دہلی میں تعینات پاکستان ناظم الامور اسی طرح کا ڈی مارش بھارتی وزارت خارجہ امور کو کریں گے۔
ترجمان دفتر خارجہ کے مطابق بھارتی بحری جہاز آئی این ایس کولکتہ نے پاکستان کی سمندری حدود میں اشتعال انگیز اور غیر ذمہ دارانہ حرکات کیں، بھارتی بحری جہاز کی سرگرمیاں دوطرفہ معاہدے کی کھلی خلاف ورزی ہیں۔
ترجمان کے مطابق پاک بحریہ یکم ستمبر سے پاکستانی خصوصی اقتصادی زون میں سی اسپارک 26 مشقیں کر رہی ہے، 7 ستمبر سے بھارتی بحری جہاز اور اس پر تعینات ہیلی کاپٹر پاک بحریہ کی مشقوں کے علاقے میں داخل ہونے کی کوشش کرتے رہے۔
دفتر خارجہ نے کہا کہ آئی این ایس کولکتہ نے پاک بحریہ کے جہازوں کے قریب خطرناک اور اشتعال انگیز حرکات کیں، بھارتی اقدامات معمول کی تعیناتی نہیں بلکہ 1991 کے دوطرفہ معاہدے کی خلاف ورزی ہیں جب کہ متعدد بار انتباہ کے باوجود بھارتی بحری جہاز نے غیر ذمہ دارانہ حرکات جاری رکھیں۔
واقعے کے حوالے سے ترجمان دفتر خارجہ نے بتایا کہ 15 ستمبر کو آئی این ایس کولکتہ نے خطرناک انداز میں رخ تبدیل کیا اور پاک بحریہ کے جہاز پی این ایس حنین سے ٹکرا گیا، پی این ایس حنین کی جانب سے بچاؤ کی کوشش کے باوجود بھارتی جہاز کے ساتھ رگڑ کا واقعہ پیش آیا، واقعے کے بعد آئی این ایس کولکتہ نے رفتار بڑھائی اور علاقے سے بھاگ نکلا۔
ترجمان دفتر خارجہ نے مزید بتایا کہ بھارتی بحری جہاز کا اقدام انتہائی اشتعال انگیز تھا اور سنگین بحران پیدا کر سکتا تھا تاہم پاک بحریہ کے پیشہ وارانہ اور ذمہ دارانہ طرز عمل نے صورت حال کو مزید بگڑنے سے روکا تاہم بھارتی بحریہ کی خلاف ورزیوں کو پاکستان انتہائی تشویش سے دیکھتا ہے۔
ترجمان نے بتایا کہ بھارت حقائق کو مسخ کرکے معاملے کو سفارتی سطح پر بڑھانے کی کوشش کر رہا ہے، بھارتی اقدامات علاقائی امن کو متاثر کرنے کی دانستہ کوشش کی عکاسی کرتے ہیں، بھارت دوطرفہ معاہدوں اور ذمہ دارانہ طرز عمل کی پابندی کرے، ایسے واقعات روکنے کے لیے بھارتی حکام فوری اقدامات کریں۔
دفتر خارجہ نے کہا کہ پاکستان نے واضح کردیا ہے کہ مستقبل میں بھارتی اشتعال انگیزی کے سامنے موجودہ سطح کا ضبط یقینی نہ سمجھا جائے۔
