Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) president Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat termed SAFF Women’s Soccer Championship a huge success and hoped it would open floodgates of international sports in the country. “Soccer is arguably world’s No 1 sport and people invest heavily in this game, but in Pakistan, situation is quite different, but now things are moving in right direction,he remarked. Talking to Olympian Mansoor Ahmed UNO diplomat, Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) president Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat said: “I am grateful to sponsors who supported us in conducting the SAFF championship, but I urge more to come forward and lend a helping hand to the federation.” He said no one could even think about promoting game without finances. “For the last four or five years, Pakistan was treated like ‘no go area’ by the international sports bodies and not a single event was allocated to it. But now the situation is change, as we have proved that Pakistan is a top level sports organizing country and can host high-profile events well and can provide international standard facilities to the visiting teams.” Underlining the PFF efforts in staging this championship, Faisal said: “Organizing the SAFF women’s football championship in Pakistan is no mean achievement. Even men’s sports teams of foreign countries avoid coming here mainly due to security issues.Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, president of the President Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), stated“I’m satisfied over the overall performance of the teem. Our team played brilliantly against the strong Nepal side,” he said, adding that he was very much optimistic that the young Pakistan team will produce good results in future. Olympian Mansoor Ahmed UNO diplomat for International Human Rights Commission briefed the President PFF about his recent visit of Doha/ Qatar in connection with FIFA game promotional Committee meeting in which global peace ,harmony and friendship topics were discussed through FIFA plate-form withe slogan ”peace though sports; the football and its political, economic and social status under the chairmanship of Mr. Jospeh S. Blatter, President FIFA. Olympian Mansoor briefed that during the meeting main topics were discussed ,and the matters directly affecting the game, such as the composition of the International Football Association Board (IFAB), the protection of the game including the international match calendar, insurance of players and third-party ownership, as well as the need to find the right balance between the interests of clubs and national. he added.Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, President Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) who is member Strategic Committee of Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) in addition to his continuation as member of Players Status Committee discussed his last visit to Zurich FIFA Strategic Committee and exclusive meeting with Mr. Jospeh S. Blatter, President FIFA . Mr. Hayat expressed his gratitude to Mr. Blatter for his personal effort to expedite the process for the construction of five FIFA Goal Projects for the people of Pakistan.
