A massive avalanche on the Karakoram’s Broad Peak has struck an international mountaineering expedition, leaving 10 climbers out of communication. The Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) has expressed deep concern regarding the emergency, and a frantic search operation is currently being organized.

- The Incident: The avalanche struck at approximately midday on Thursday as the group was advancing toward Camp 3 for their final summit push. Initial GPS tracking suggests the force of the snow threw the climbers down a full kilometer.
- Expedition Leader: The team is spearheaded by the world-renowned Nepali mountaineer Nirmal “Nims” Purja (Nimsdai), leading an Elite Exped group.
